“Nozomi no Mura” means “Village of Hope” and is a Christian Retreat Center with the intention that our guests find hope or new hope through Jesus Christ. We wish that people can find rest and gain new strength for body and soul.
It is true, what Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

“Nozomi no Mura” belongs to the German Alliance Mission, the foreign mission agency of the Free Evangelical Churches in Germany. In Japan the German Alliance Mission is connected to the Doumei Fukuin Kirisuto Kyoukai, the group of churches that was founded through the German Alliance Mission. Legally “Nozomi no Mura” belongs to the Doumei Fukuin Kirisuto Kyoukai.
The houses of “Nozomi no Mura” are not rental houses open to the public. The main purpose is for retreat and refreshment for missionaries, pastors and their families and also for the members of the Doumei Fukuin Kirisuto Kyoukai and related organizations. The houses are also for church related retreats and events. All payments are considered as donations to Nozomi no Mura.
